Summerset Camping and Music Festival – The Dubzoo Review

This past weekend (August 12-14) marked the 5th annual Summerset Camping and Music Festival. The multi-genre festival is held in Somerset, Wisconsin “AKA” a giant field in the middle of nowhere United States. Headliners included EDM giants like Steve Aoki, Flux Pavilion, Bassnectar and Skrillex. Hip-hop was also well represented with artists such as Fetty Wap, Chance the Rapper, Logic, Tory Lanez and Flatbush Zombies sharing the stage throughout the weekend. There was also a representation of alternative sounds from the likes of Grimes and Cherub among others. A giant open field . . . what an amazing venue to see the brain melting dubstep Skrillex brings! But on the other hand it was equally as great to hear artists like Rufus Du Sol and Claptone bring a more subtle wavy vibe to the stage. This festival has quickly become one of my personal favorites in the US. To see so many different genres represented on the same stage is an experience you can’t get at an EDC or Electric Zoo. There is something for everyone at a festival like this, and the camping aspect seems to bring a sense of camaraderie to concertgoers. It has only gotten bigger from year to year and without a doubt year six will be a blast!

Who are we going to see next year?
